All operators of heavy trucks are well aware of the high failure rate of present day emission controls. The price to repair stuck EGR valves, clogged DPF units and failed VG turbos, combined with downtime, towing and lost loads, costs the trucking industry millions of dollars each year.
All of these benefits reduce costs and keep more money in your pocket. The most noticeable immediate savings is the improved fuel economy. The average truck traveling 100,000 miles per year @ 5 mpg will use 20,000 gallons of fuel at the approximate cost of $90,000. An improvement of 1 mpg is a savings of 17% or over $15,000. These savings combined with no down time due to failing emission systems equal greater profits.
In Alberta and Saskatchewan there are NO laws forbidding the removal or alteration of emission controls. The laws in other states & provinces may require that emission controls are operational.
